Description

Pizza Pizza is addressing the issue of shrinkflation with their new product, the Growflation Pizza, now available to customers. While some companies are offering smaller portions for the same price, Pizza Pizza is bucking the trend by giving customers 44% more pizza with a medium pizza for the price of a small. The Vice President of Marketing, Adrian Fuoco, emphasized the importance of not letting shrinkflation impact the pizza industry and vowed to continue providing customers with more pizza without raising prices. Last year, Pizza Pizza introduced the Fixed-Rate Pizza to counter inflation, offering an XL 4-topping pizza at a fixed price.

Campaign Proposition

Positions the brand as consumer-friendly by offering more value (44% bigger pizza for same price) to combat shrinkflation and reinforce the 'Everyone Deserves Pizza' brand platform.

Creative Device

Juxtaposition

Competitive Planks

Domino's 'Delivery Excellence' campaigns focus on speed and technology innovation, contrasting with Pizza Pizza's value-focused approach. Papa John's 'Better Ingredients, Better Pizza' emphasizes quality over quantity, directly opposing the size-value proposition. Boston Pizza positions itself as a family entertainment destination, competing for the same 'community gathering' space but through experience rather than value.

If you are a deep practitioner of the media capabilities of the 2026 world, then you would be aware that a brand needs about 20,000 unique pieces of content per year for different demographics, psychographics etc.

That's 19,900 more than what most big brands actually put out. And if you understand how the Googles, Facebooks, Snapchats and Instagrams work, then you would know that your creative teams will have to deliver a lot more video centric content to fill the pipes of media distribution than they currently are doing.

That's why we've created AgencyFm - to produce quality video content at a low enough cost. Quality being contextual to the social media platform, not necessarily high production, thus delivering the best bang for your every buck
